Medical
Technologists
at Lake City and Gainesville,
FL
We
are looking for BS
degree medical technologists
here at Lake City
and Gainesville, FL.
The Veterans Administration
is a good place to
work and the benefits
are better than most
private sector facilities
especially a retirement
package in addition
to a 401k. The pay
rates are comparable
to the private sector.
All MT's are GS-9
and the pay scale
is published on the
internet. Currently,
a new MT would start
at $21.65 and someone
with a few years experience
would start around
$23.10. Anyone with
prior military or
government service
will get first preference
and their previous
service counts toward
retirement.
At Lake City, we are
a small to medium
size facility. There
will be two 3:30-12m
and four 7-3:00 or
8-4:30 positions available.
There is a rotation
for weekend coverage
that is currently
1 weekend every 2
months.
Gainesville is a large
facility with more
testing capability.
Most of their shifts
are evening and/or
night but they also
have many coming up
for retirement and
day shifts will open
up.
